Over the last three years I have furthered my education with a Sports Rehabilitation degree from Salford University, a Stones Therapy level 3 N.V.Q. diploma and a Sports Thai Massage diploma amongst others. Since then, I've created my own relaxing treatment room with all the facilities necessary to provide a continuum of health care. My client list is already extensive and includes players from Salford Reds Rugby League Club, Salford Athletic Club and Ford Halewood Athletic Club as well as Sale Harriers Athletic Club.

I have also worked as a sports rehabilitation at Oldham Athletic Football Club and am currently with Warrington Wizards Rugby League Club for the season. I now receive referred clients from sports coaches and clubs and I also now treat friends of previous clients, the best recommendation I could get! Being a long distance runner myself, I know what it is like to get injured, as well as having the need to relax. It makes it easier for me to understand the psychological issues as well as the physiological issues people face regardless if they are an athlete or just exercise for fun.

In recent months, with an expanding client base, I have found the need to recruit another specialist, in order to continue to provide the much needed extended opening hours offered by ourselves to ensure you are treated quickly and effectively, without having to take time off work.

Amy Cowx [Sports Rehabilitator]

Since gaining a BSc [Hons] Sports Rehabilitation from Salford University, I have worked within clinics and sports clubs to help patients of all types - from the general public to elite athletes.

This involved managing a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, sporting and non-sporting.

I hold a level 3 VTCT diploma in Sports and Events Massage and I am due to study for a Masters degree in Physiotherapy.

I am currently working with Manchester City Ladies FC and other experience I have in sporting environments include; Bolton Wanderers FC, Manchester Magic Basketball team, Manchester Amputee Football team, Ghanaian Premiership Football teams and Trafford Athletic Club as well as supporting competitors at the Wilmslow Half Marathon with pre and post event massage.

As a former sprinter and rower, I have sustained a number of sporting injuries and as such developed a strong empathy with individuals in a similar situation. This has resulted in me having a particular enthusiasm to helping others recover from injury and look for ways to prevent these injuries recurring.

Susan Lyons [Holistic Therapist]

Working as a holistic therapist, I offer a wide range of treatments including Aromatherapy, Indian head, Swedish, hot and cold Stone Therapy and Thai Herbal massages.

The wide range of services also include Reflexology, spa treatments - including body wrapping and Reiki healing.

I have gained an NVQ level 3, in spa and holistic treatments at South Trafford College. I also hold an ITEC qualification in Stone Therapy Massage, along with an IHBC diploma in Beauty specialist and Media makeup, where by I previously worked for Richard Branson's Virgin Vie skin care and cosmetics as a beauty consultant / sales person.

I am very approachable, enthusiastic and friendly, enjoy meeting people and I am really excited at the prospect of working with new clients and joining at great team at Total Rehabilitation, in order to further my experience in this extremely awarding industry.

Simon Myerscough [Personal Trainer]

Since graduating I have furthered my education by gaining REPS Level 3 Personal Training Qualification and have worked with a wide range of clientele. Working in both clinics and also performing treatments in clients homes means that I able to provide a service to anyone requiring treatment.

I play semi-professional football and train regularly and therefore know how frustrating it can be to sustain an injury - not only effecting your hobbies or chosen sport, but also your everyday life.

Mike Salkeld [Web and Print Designer]

While not a 'hands on' team member, my contribution is the design and creation of the promotional material for the company web site and printed documents such as business cards, flyers and leaflets.

As one of Jennie's clients, the topic of the Total Rehabilitation web site was bound to arise and when it did, I mentioned I am a web designer running my own company, Luminance Design. Naturally I offered to help out with the updating and improvement of the Total Rehabilitation web site.
